AND FROM THE DARK UNKNOWN CAME A HOODED AVENGER
Mystery enshrouds the creature known as the Scowl, bent under the weight of his forbidden metals and irons, and by his own terrible disfigurement.
Some call him the Land’s Avenger, a champion who’s will is to seek out all works of Delving and to destroy them. Others say he himself is marked by Delving and must be also destroyed.
The Scowl does not care either way. He only follows only the will of IronScythe, the wickedly curved weapon that can never leave his side.
When the Scowl is brought before the court of King-Emperor Jhaz’Elrad, accused of murdering a young noble—he is unexpectedly saved from execution by the ambitious Dracus Krall.
In return for his life, the Scowl is sent on weregild to kill the evil golem that has lurked in the Krall family home for generations. A terrible, haunted creature, created by the dark majiks in the time of Delving.
Accompanying the task is Dracus’ teenage niece, Vareena, a strong-willed tom-boy who grew up in the shadow of her uncle’s ambition and who has resisted his many attempts to marry her off. But Vareena is not as she seems. She harbours a secret power that her uncle would gladly kill for.
Together, Vareena and the Scowl begin an uneasy alliance. An alliance that will change both of their lives forever…
“Flesh Golem is a brilliant work of fantasy. I got it this morning and found it so engaging…I’m currently recommending K.J.Heritage to everyone I know who likes authors such as Michael Moorcock.”
“I love K.J.Heritage’s writing style. His stories are the kind you can get lost in. I have a hard time putting them down because I’m so eager to find out what happens next. I recommend Flesh Golem highly. And now I’m on to the next!”
“I’d give this novella six stars if I could. Brilliantly written, it’s as dark and gory as it is richly detailed with breath-taking prose.”
“Packed with detail and the story was really enjoyable. This is a solid five-stars in my book. I highly recommend it, and suggest that future readers read this prior to the rest of the saga.”

THE GIFT OF THE CARLINE, IS NO GIFT AT ALL
Captured by the Carline witch, Fulminara, Scowl is forced to enter a fantastical duel against insurmountable odds.
Meanwhile, Vareena’s new life at Keep Krall is not going as she had hoped. Travelling alone across the Salted Wastes, she finds herself part of Scowl’s life and death struggle–and Fulminara reveals to her the shocking knowledge of the Carline.
“Great follow up book. The characters start to evolve and the story really get interesting. The story was so easy to read and follow the pages just fly by. The only drawback was it was over to soon. It really leaves you wanting more. Great job.”
IN A FIGHT AGAINST GOLD, WILL IRON WIN OUT?
After meeting the animalistic Ya’ousa in a seedy miner’s tavern in the broken land known as The Grikes, Scowl and Vareena accompany him on a quest to save his kidnapped brethren.
Using Vareena’s knowledge of the ancient lith stones and Ya’ousa’s gift of harna, they soon discover the delving mine where the captives are held.
In an explosive finale, iron is pitted against gold, but there can be only one victor.
